Thoughts from Pastor Bob
As we now continue our journey here on earth, we approach the season of advent. Advent is that time we await the coming of Jesus. We await His Coming at Christmas, but we also await His Second Coming at the end of time. We do not always think about the Second Coming, but it is coming. Each day that passes, we are one day closer.
Brenda’s surgery went well and her recovery was WAY ahead of schedule. She has been released by her surgeon to resume normal duties. She is completely done with physical therapy. Her mobility is remarkable. Brenda & I thank you for your prayers and well wishes.
With that in mind, I am resuming my office hours. Effective November 12, 2024, I will be in the office on Tuesday mornings. If you need an appointment outside of the regular office hours, contact me directly at 785-633-2621 or bcasper3@cox.net
Upcoming events includes Children’s Christmas Workshop. It will be on Saturday, December 7, from 9AM to 3PM. This is for children age 1 through sixth grade. Activities include decorating cookies, making a gift, wrapping paper & ornament. We will also learn about Jesus’ birth, play games, and other activities. Moms (and Dads), drop your kids off and go shopping, or take some ME time, or finish those Christmas activities. Christmas Eve service will be on December 24 at 6:00 PM. Sounds of Christmas will be on December 15, 2024, at 6:00 PM. The evening will both secular and religious music, a dessert bar at intermission, and an appearance by Santa Claus himself. Finally, the Youth will be headed to Manhattan on Sunday, December 7, at 3:30 PM. See Shannon Weber for information and tickets. Tickets limited to 15.
Have a safe & wonderful Christmas. Keep Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love in your hearts this season. As always, if you need something, I’m just a phone call away.
Obediently,
Robert W. Casper
