Sunday Services

Sunday School - 9:30 am

Sunday Worship - 10:30 am

When: July 31 through August 4, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

All children 4 years of age through those who just completed
6th grade are invited to join us for a week of fun and
discovering God's good gifts.

Family Night will be the last night of VBS (Friday) with
fun, games and hot dogs! Parents, grandparents and friends
are welcome to join us that night to see what the children
have been learning all week.

Pre-registration for Bible School is not necessary. Just
come the first night and register your child then.
We hope to see you there!

Movie Night

Our next "Movie Night" will be Sunday, July 9 at 6:00 p.m.

Take a break from your summer activities and join us for a family-friendly
movie at the church. We always have snacks, too!

5th Sunday Worship in the Chapel

Our first service in the Chapel on the 5th Sunday was a BIG success! We
heard lots of positive comments about this service, so we plan on continuing
this special worship experience every time there is a 5th Sunday. Plan on joining us for
the next one on July 30th at 10:30 a.m.

May is the month of Graduations, and we recognized
and honored our graduates on May 7th during the
worship service and with a reception. Congratulations
to these graduates, listed with the school from which
they are graduating:

Kyle Smith -- Kansas State University

Alex Ferguson -- Silver Lake High School

Timmy Williams -- Silver Lake High School

Jacey Creech -- Silver Lake High School and Washburn Tech.

Aspen Nelson -- Seaman High School

Julia Backer -- Washburn Rural Jr. High School

One of our own church members, Shannon Weber, will be part of a team of
veterinarians and vet technicians traveling on a mission trip to the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Browning, Montana, June 24 through July 1, to help the people on the reservation who depend on their animals and livestock for the survival of themselves and their children. They will be taking animal medical supplies and treating animals, but more importantly, they will be doing some daily educational seminars for the cattle producers on the reservation to teach them proper health management techniques on their cattle and horses. The thought process is "giving a person a fish is good for a day, but it is better to teach him to fish, and he can feed himself for a lifetime!"

Shannon states, "My heart-felt desire is that through our training with their livestock that the Blackfeet will see that our only desire is to serve our fellow man and demonstrate Christ's love through example and not just words."

Please pray for the veterinarians, vet technicians, the other missionaries that are involved, and those that they will be ministering to. Also, please pray that our mighty God will liberate the Blackfeet from the nightmare of poverty and addiction, and that they will find the healing peace of Christ in their lives.

From Our Pastor…..

Wow, it's hard to believe I've been serving as Pastor for over a year already! Time has certainly flown by. We have such a wonderful Church that truly responds with work and does all they can to carry out the Great commission! We have been blessed to have Great Missionaries, and while many churches have been forced to drop missionary support our fabulous congregation was able to dramatically increase.

We've had opportunities to see several salvations, and people obediently following through with a believers Baptism. I believe that blessing goes hand and glove with the passion that we have towards our missionaries and the Great commission.

We constantly have seen many improvements in our facility. I'm amazed at how quickly items are accomplished... The addition of the Sound system/storage room... The expansion of the parking pad... Roofing.... Oh the Beautiful New ground...The improvements from our safety team, especially the defibrillator and the CPR and First Aid class (April 15), and many other things as well. All these are ways our members are using their Time, Talent, and Treasures.

Not enough can be said of our Choir, Instrumentalists, and both our Adult and Children's Bell Choirs are truly ding-a-lings, but in a good way. I Love the tight Harmony of our Pure Joy trio. Also we have Sunday School for every age. Oh, by the way, I think we probably have the best cooks in N E Kansas!

All this and sooo much more! God is blessing and we would love to see you be a part of His blessing. If you don't have a church home Bethel Community Church (chapel) always has a place for you!

Can you tell I really Love where GOD has called me to serve!

In CHRIST"S Immense Love,

Bro. J. Marc Williams
